The pipes/fields area within EnergySteward.com is where all
pipes/fields are defined. These pipes/fields are used when setting up
meters/wells and are ultimately associated to contracts. The following
characterizes some of the options available within the EnergySteward.com
'Pipes/Fields...' area:
- An unlimited number of pipes/fields can be setup.
- * Pipes/Fields maintain a status history, reflecting (by date) the various changes in
the status of any given pipe/field.
- * Pipes/Fields can be defined with an unlimited number of 'types' (type examples
include pipeline, oil field, storage facility, treating plant,
etc.).
- All pipe/field information built with 'effective from and thru dates', allowing
historical preservation of all pipe/field information.
- * Pipes/Fields can have an unlimited number of cross reference
(alias names). These are typically used for cross references
to other internal/external systems.
- * Pipes/Fields can be assigned membership in an unlimited number of 'groups'
(groupings of pipes/fields sharing common attributes). Useful when wanting to report
or query pipes/fields by group association(s).
- * Pipes/Fields can have an unlimited number of 'company
relationships' (pipe/field owner(s), etc).
- Pipes/Fields can have an unlimited number of meters/wells.

EnergySteward.com.
