The pricing area within EnergySteward.com is where price
components information is stored. These price components represent
the individual items which are included in contract price/cost formulas. In many situations, contracts are written with
price/cost formulas that contain several components. An example of
a simple price/cost formula might look like the following:: Price
Index A - 2% Negotiated Offset + .05 Fuel Adjustment
In the example above there are 3 components for the price/cost
formula (a price index, a negotiated percentage offset and a fuel adjustment).
With EnergySteward.com, these individual price components are
defined, then used within these contract price/cost formulas.
Lookup/Searches can be done against contracts to show contracts that
utilize specific price components, etc
The following
characterizes some of the options available within the EnergySteward.com
pricing 'Components...' area:
- An unlimited number of price components can be setup (mid point
index components, low point index components, WASP, Negotiated
Offsets, Fuel Adjustments, etc.).
- * Price Components maintain a status history, reflecting (by date)
the various changes in the status of any given price component.
- * Price Components can be setup for all types of energy related
'Products' (Oil, Gas, etc.).
- Price Components are incorporated in contract price/cost
formulas, with ability to lookup contracts by their reference to an
individual price component etc.
* These items can all be defined in
the pricing configuration area within
EnergySteward.com.
