The pricing area within EnergySteward.com is where price index
information is stored. The price indices can be assigned to
various price/cost formulas within contracts and to various meters/wells on
these contracts. In addition to setting up the price index itself,
EnergySteward.com also provides for the storage of values (daily,
monthly, weekly, etc) on these price indices. The design of
the pricing area within EnergySteward.com provides for a
standardized and centralized price 'repository' for published price index
information. The following
characterizes some of the options available within the EnergySteward.com
pricing 'Indices...' area:
- * An unlimited number of entries representing individual publications can be setup (ie.
Platts Gas Daily, Platts Inside-Ferc, Argus, etc.).
- An unlimited number of individual price indices can be setup
within a given publication.
- Support for monthly, weekly daily price valuations is available.
- * Price Indices maintain a status history, reflecting (by date)
the various changes in the status of any given price index.
- * Price Indices can be setup for all types of energy related
'Products' (Oil, Gas, etc.).
- * Price Indices can have an unlimited number of cross reference
(alias names). These are typically used for cross references
to other internal/external systems.
- * Price Indices can have an unlimited number of 'pipe/field
relationships'. This is for associating various prices to
infrastructure type assets.
- * Price Indices can have an unlimited number of geographic 'Area'
relationships. These 'Areas' are the same as be setup on
individual meters/wells, thus allowing for reporting of pricing
opportunities for your meters/wells.
- Price Indices can be incorporated in contract price/cost
formulas, with ability to lookup contracts by their reference to an
individual price index, etc.
- Options available to support automated posting of price values
from vendor price publication files (note, this option requires a
data feed subscription from the
publication vendor).
* These items can all be defined in
the pricing configuration area within
EnergySteward.com.
